This listing is for 20 square feet of teak lumber that has been planed and is 3/4 inches thick. These teak boards are the same wood we use in our planters and other standard teak products. This is true teak wood with the scientific name tectona grandis. The 3/4 inch thick, PLANED teak lumber comes from our FSC/Smartwood/Rainforest Alliance certified tree plantations in democratic Costa Rica. We have been planting trees in the tropics for almost 30 years. Teak wood is very durable and can be used indoors or outdoors for a wide range of uses. This 20 square feet of teak lumber will be around 15  boards. These boards will be at least 3 inches wide and at least 36 inches long and 3/4 = 0.75 inches thick PLANED.   We have lots of teak in stock and these include giant slabs that come from beautiful crotches and other highly figured parts of trees--burls, fiddleback, curly, etc. We also sell teak tongue and groove that is great for bathroom ceilings, siding, and shelving/panels.    Teak has natural oils that enable the wood to be used outdoors. These oils keep rain and snow from penetrating into the wood and make teak the most durable and long lasting wood for outdoor use!  Teak is one of the most famous woods in the world because of its amazing qualities. The pictures are representative of the lumber you will receive. A lot of clients use this teak for flooring, kitchen cabinets and counters, outdoor decks and rails.
